The 2016 Chevy Colorado Diesel is here now and this video from The Fast Lane Truck presents an excellent review and road run, as they do.
Powered by the 2.8L Duramax diesel putting out 181 hp and along with a high torque of 369 lb-ft makes the Colarado a good tow wagon especially when you consider it has an exhaust brake and an integrated controller for trailer brakes. I would be concerned about how close to the ground the front pan is, though could be this is a bolt on extra.
From my experience with diesels they love to work and regularly towing a 28ft boat 260 plus miles with some good hills my wagon didn’t use much more diesel than when doing same trip solo. Somewhat different to my 5.0L V8 pickup where I had to plan ahead for gas station stops to avoid too many stops or running out of gas, especially with a head wind.
For a new release this video has gained a high number of views and likes, watch to see why.
