55 Chevy C10 Rebuild
55 Chevy C10 Rebuild
Watching a video of a rebuild is very seldom boring, and this 55 Chevy C10 Rebuild is no different.
A commentary would have been nice but this video shows progress from start to finish, and is good to see the body has been kept stock.
There is a second video further down, is part two of this along with a commentary.
The usual cancerous bits are cut out and replaced, and much time has been spent on the chassis to get the truck down to a lower profile including independant front suspension and brake upgrade.
All good stuff and the finished result is a credit to the owner .
As popular as ever the Chevy C10 and Thriftmaster truck range certainly lend themselves exceptionally well to restoring along with customizing the body, while at same time upgrading the steering, brakes, suspension and running gear to more modern specification. The end result can be as wild and hot as you want, or as mild and cool to suit whichever the purpose you want.
As cool and as neat a truck anyone could wish for. Note the chassis mods.
Special thanks to George Contreras for publishing these two videos about his truck.
This video number two George shows the truck having been almost completely finished.
It is certainly a sweet daily driver with interior and engine bay detailing to complete the makeover.
I particularly like the windows in both doors are now one piece. Taking away the quarter light certainly improves the appearance of the cab, plus would also give better visibility.
Near the top of this page is a link named ‘Thriftmaster”. If you didn’t click on it it really is a worthwhile look, you can go check it out with this link.
The other two links both feature great trucks, one is an Apache that is built to go, the other a travelling advertisement for the owners business.
