1971 Chevy Pickup Air Ride
1971 Chevy Pickup Air Ride
How low can you go, if this 1971 Chevy Pickup Air Ride is anything to go by really as low as you like, or should I say “as low as you dare?”
All aided by special chassis modifications to suit and combined with air suspension. Not uncommon as you will see if you go back through previous posts, and the same modification applies to many magnificent cars as well, just like this one the Award Winning Cadillac Golden Empress convertible.
If you are looking for ideas for a similar project yourself I am sure you will pick up some useful information and / or ideas from this video.
Pickup trucks are a popular vehicle to modify, some are wild as, others quite conservative depending on the owners choice and needs.
Then there are also those that could make a race car sit up and take notice, and owners who have combined this with a travel in luxury theme.
See this project take shape from start to finish
Special thanks to Photos are video screen shots.
This video is music only, no voice, but I didn’t find this any disadvantage as the video clearly takes you through what was done, especially the chassis.
A lot of work went in there boxing, cutting, making new brackets and more to take the air suspension bags.
The deck was also shortened as you will see the two sections that were cut out, one in the front and the other at the rear to keep the balance looking right.
What I really do like about customized pick up trucks is mostly the cab is left its normal dimensions which means people like me who are 6 foot plus a bit aren’t expected to squeeze into a space more suited to a five foot nothing type of guy, or gal.
