Here is one 1977 Chevy C10 Street Truck that simply oozes quality with attention to detail that certainly makes it one of the cleanest and neatest C10 Street Truck you will find anywhere, in fact I would say with street modified pickup. Because it is so neat and clean it is not until these many modifications are pointed out in the video do you realize ‘that’s different’. In fact the windshield is pretty much the only area that’s still original.
This is a one owner trucksince 1980, and while in earlier years some mods were done, these were nothing compared to where the truck is today. The hood is unusual in that it has two carbon fibre inserts, open it and you will see the same neatness and quality workmanship repeated. The C10 is no slouch either sporting a year 2000 Corvette engine putting out around 450 hp, and done justice with a 3 inch exhaust system that sounds mighty like only a good V8 can. The deck also got the full treatment and sports a power operated aluminum lid. I can’t see the owner loading the deck with anything more than soft furnishings, or his lunch bag. The cab likewise is a joy to see with a host of custom features including seats, instruments and dashboard. Strictly a two seater it gives the impression of being very comfortable and would make long trips a pleasure, rather than being a chore.
Griffey’s Hot Rods and Restorations did all of the body off restoration and he must have spent many hours planning, sketching and discussing with the owner what could, and would be done. For instance have a look at the door windows, notice the difference from standard, and the disappearance of the gutters? The owner Kylie has lived for many years with the thought of extensively modifying and restoring his truck, and now that it is done he is overly happy with the finished article.
Most Chevy C10’s and the earlier Chevy Thriftmaster Pickups do lend themselves very nicely to being modified as Street Trucks, as you will see if you click on these links. Scroll through my other posts and you will find more.
